Who is
Charles L. Sifers? - He is a member in good standing with the
Oklahoma State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, Oklahoma Criminal
Defense Lawyers Association, the National College for DUI Defense, and the
National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
- He is on the Board of Directors for the Oklahoma County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.
- He is the author of re-occurring DUI Defense articles in the
Oklahoma Criminal Defense Lawyers Association's quarterly publication,
The Gauntlet, as well as, the Newsletter for the Criminal Law Section for the
Oklahoma Bar Association, the Q & A.
- He is a former Director of the Board of Directors for the OklahomaİCriminal Defense Lawyers Association.
- He is a former Regent for the National College for DUI Defense, and the ONLY attorneyİfrom the state of Oklahoma that has ever sat on this Board.
- He is Board Certified by the National College for DUI Defense ("NCDD") as a DUI Defense Attorney, and the FIRSTİattorney in the entire State of Oklahoma to achieve this certification.
- He is an nine (9) time graduateİ of the National College for DUI Defense's Annual Summer Trial College held each year at Harvard Law School. He has spoken at the last four (4)
(2001, 2002, 2003, 2004) of these Colleges. NO OTHER ATTORNEY IN OKLAHOMA HAS ATTENDED THIS COURSE AS MANY TIMES AS MR. SIFERS.

- He has taught DUI Defense to other lawyers in Texas, Louisiana,

Mississippi, Oklahoma and The British Cayman Islands.

was a Probation Officer in the 1970's in Oklahoma City.
- He wrote
the curriculum for the "DUI Schools" for the state of Oklahoma in 1978 and
taught over 20,000 DUI Defendants this course from 1979 to 1994.
- He was the first defense attorney in OKLAHOMA to become formally trained on
the Intoxilyzer 5000 breath machines (in 1996) and the first one to OWN one of these
machines.
- He is Certified as an Intoxilyzer 5000-D Operator by the
Board of Tests for the State of Oklahoma (since 2000).
- He is Certified as an
Intoxilyzer 5000-D Maintenance Supervisor by the Board of Tests for the State
of Oklahoma (since 2000).

is MORE than many cities own!) including two which are IDENTICAL to those used
by law enforcement by the state of Oklahoma.
- He is certified as a Standardized Field Sobriety Test
administrator.

Trainer.
- He is DRE (Drug Recognition Expert) Trained.
- He has been awarded a certificate of completion for the Robert F. Borkenstein Course on Alcohol, Drugs, and Highway Safety: Testing, Research, and Litigation based out of Indiana University at Bloomington.İİ This is a LAW ENFORCEMENT court for the State's experts in DUI.İ He is the ONLY attorney from Oklahoma to have ever attended this course.
